ZACK KASLOFF Passed away suddenly, but peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2005 in Winnipeg. Dr. Kasloff was born in Winnipeg on October 18, 1915 to Russian immigrants. He graduated from St. John's High School, University of Manitoba (BSc), University of Minnesota and University of Dalhousie (DDS) and 20 years later, the University of Indiana (MScDent). He was an Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba, Emory University in Atlanta, Tufts University in Boston and University of Colorado in Denver. He was highly respected internationally in his specialized field of restorative dentistry. He was also an accomplished violinist having performed for the University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra and up until five years ago for the 50 member Mostly Strauss ensemble in Denver, CO. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Josephine (Joey) (nee Bubis); his sons, Alan (Peggy) of Denver and Ted (Patricia) of Winnipeg; his three grandchildren, Adam (Ada), Samantha and Ian all of Winnipeg; his sisters, Sarah Golumbia (the late David) and Shirley Garfinkel (Irvin) all of Winnipeg; his sister-in-law Shirley Rosenberg of Calgary; his very special friend Mel Leonoff of Winnipeg; five stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins and professional friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 1:00 p.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue.
